With support of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADA) a Feasibility Study is conducted, targeting at the implementation of an affordable rental housing sector in Kosovo, following the Austrian Model of Limited Profit Housing Associations (LPHA). The project is done in cooperation with the Kosovar NGO Social Housing and Property Rights in Kosovo (SHPRK) and the Austrian-Kosovar Friendship Association (kosovo:friends).

IIBW (2018/2019):

(Barcelona: Union for the Mediterranean).

The Union for the Mediterranean consists of all 28 EU Member Countries and additional 15 Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Countries. By decision of the UfM Ministers in charge of housing, municipal affairs and urban development, a Working Group on Affordable and Sustainable Housing was introduced, with IIBW as consult. Outputs have been an assessment of international good practice of affordable housing, a regional analysis including extensive data analysis, a concept for the implementation of affordable rental housing sectors and project proposals for some of the involved countries.

Housing is an important industry and hence an important employer for women. This study analyzes gender aspects of the housing industriy in Vienna.

International research project, focussing on origins of fake news in the context of migration, with a Case Study on Austria targetting at the housing sector. Co-funded by Horizon 2020 – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020).

IIBW contributes an overview on Austrian cooperative housing to this research project commissioned by the Dutch Government.

The innovation lab RENOWAVE.AT intends to contribute to decarbonisation of the Austrian building stock with an open innovation approach. Dr. Amann is member of the supervisory board.

Affordable Housing Institute (2022):

IIBW is partner of the Affordable Housing Institute (Boston, Massachusetts) in supporting the Ukrainian government in re-housing this country, amongst others with a rental compensation scheme (2022).
